Hoor- Al- Ayn

Like Unto  Preserved Pearls..

Yes, Bang on! You are absolutely right! This Article is about what YOU are thinking. About what every Woman I met has her qualms in discussing, what every woman tries to shy away from.
Yes, it’s Hur Al Ayn -Those lovely maidens in Paradise reserved for righteous men. Those beautiful virgins with fair skin and huge eyes. Does that make you cringe?  Does it make you shudder at the prospect of working towards Jannah with your husband only to share him with the maidens?
Does your heart feel constricted when you recite those verses in Surah Ar-Rahman and Surah Al-Waqiah?
My beloved sisters, I want you to know that these feelings are mutual and very natural.
I want you to know Your Lord is most Merciful and Just. He did not place these verses to provoke you. NO! These are gifts reserved for the men to strive and work hard to achieve the pleasure of Allah and obtain his rewards. They are purely for motivating him. As Allah, our creator knows exactly what would entice men and motivate them to work better, he mentioned this reward for them. He knows best what to gift his slaves.
My sisters, remember Allah’s infinite mercy upon you that in his legislation of laws he made extra-marital affairs and the likes haram which cause immense heart breaks. These gifts are reserved solely for those men who will NOT cheat her in Dunya.
Cheer Up, sisters! There is good news. Jannah has no jealousy and other disease of the heart. So, even if your husband does have a Hur Al Ayn- that would be your last concern there.
Also most scholars state that the women of Jannah are far more superior than the Hur Al Ayn as the Hur Al Ayn are merely rewards for the righteous men and the women of jannah enter jannah by their efforts- the former a Queen and the latter a Slave created for her believing master.
Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) was asked: Does the description of the hoor al-‘iyn include the women of this world?
He replied:
It seems to me that the women of this world will be better than the hoor al-‘iyn, even in outward appearance, and Allaah knows best.

And remember beautiful sisters, our FOCUS is to enter Jannah -so serene and so beautiful where our Lord has prepared for us bounties that no eyes has seen and where we will have what our hearts desire. Jannah is an abode of both righteous men and woman.
Please don't let the media befool you into painting your mind with the picture of A Male chauvinist Muslim God.
Allah sub’hanahu wa ta’ala is Al-Khabeer (The fully aware), he knows exactly how we feel And Being Al-wadood and Ar-raheem, he will never leave His female slaves in misery. We need to accept that everything that comes from Allah is the very best even if we cannot comprehend it.
It is from the signs of Iman that we believe that Allah swt wishes best for his slaves, and when we accept that we should know, that our husbands are first the slaves of Allah swt than ours and he is at liberty to choose whatever he wishes to gift his slaves out of his infinite wisdom.
For now, lets look upon the qualities of Hur -al-ayn and try to fit in them. We have a lot to learn from them, rather than just considering them as foes.
The hur restrain their glances. Allah swt created the men and knows what is appealing to them. Lets return to modesty by lowering our gazes and not looking at men that do not meet the Halal standards set by the Shariah. Yes, this includes male stars- in any form- footballers, cricketers, actors! No more getting All starry eyed!

They are very beautiful- with fair skin And large eyes. Obviously are looks have already been crafted by Allah swt and we don’t have much control in this regard. But we definitely do have a choice in how we present ourselves to them, whether we choose to let them see us in a messy state or choose to appear presentable and sweet.

They are sweet smelling. Yes, fragrances do have that effect on men. That is why we have been commanded not to wear perfume while moving out from home. Choose a good and alluring perfume and wear it for him. Don’t be from those woman who drench themselves in perfume while moving out and have no concerns how they smell for their husbands.

They are like preserved pearls. They are well guarded and chaste. This is a beautiful characteristic which has been highlighted in the Quran, very contrary to the nude woman which magazines portray under the false pretext of being “bold and daring” whereas Allah swt teaches us modesty, which is a noble trait.

They are guarded in their pavilions. A good Muslimah does not leave her house without genuine need and never without her husband’s permission. And when she does leave, she covers herself well. She recognizes that markets are the worst places on earth and rather prefers to use her time productively. She is happy and content with the earnings of her husband and does not feel pressured by society to venture out to fulfill her vain needs. Rather she knows her duties as a wife and mother well.

Lastly, the most beautiful treasure for you and your husband in Jannah is the face of your Lord to gaze upon.

And we ask Allah to grant us Jannatul Firdaws.
