BIGGER PICTURE

There is a bigger problem for all those who would open their eyes enough to see it.
While this case, is about Asifa and the perpetrators being called to account for their utter crudity that makes the blood boil, know that this is much more than that. This was a planned murder and rape of a minor, by “educated men”, with hopes of eviction of a community.
With rising cases of rape in India, the agony amongst us is clearly understood.
Every day men, women and children of the Kashmir valley are exposed to terrible acts of evil inflicted upon them.
Our hearts grieve for Asifa, but remember that this is an everyday picture of Kashmir.
Talking about rape in isolation dilutes the plight of the Kashmiris. While we hope and pray for justice for Asifa, pray for the stability of the people of Kashmir.
It's about time, we stand up together as a Muslim ummah, overlook our differences, back each other up and grow.
The Muslims are bleeding.
Let not this aspect of rape overwhelm us, that we forget the whole of Kashmir, which is in turmoil.
