RUNWAY REVIEW OF AN AUTUMN 2018 WOMENSWEAR COLLECTION
The tastefully designed ready to wear fall women collection by Chanel, set the right tone for the runway
When you walk the runway, you need to wear the right amount of attitude and carry the dress with poise and then leave the dress to speak on its behalf. A beautifully crafted dress can speak volumes and set the oomph factor.. This collection is from their very own head creative director, Karl Lagerfeld. The man who possesses great zeal,talent and creativity is well recognized over the world with his black glasses, extremely white tresses and high collars that are unremarkably starched. The runway, seemed to be inspired from nature, all the leaves collected from the many beautiful parks of Paris made the much coveted carpet of the day.
Some of the dresses were made of woolen threads and were body hugging, the creative director stuck to monochromes with hints of gold in designing them which were made vibrant by bold coloured scarves and shawls. Along with their dresses the pretty models also flaunted chanel bags. There were velvet tuxedos for a more formal wear and chequered glossy black jacket that worked both as casual as well as semi formal wear. The model wore a black leather belt over with a golden button that had the classy Chanel logo engraved on it. Apart from the monochromes, some reds, greens, browns and oranges could also be noticed in the choice of colour palette used by the designer. In line with the autumn season, some of the coats bore pretty leave prints with a hood added to them.Most of the models wore metallic knee high gold boots that added all the glamour to their perfect attire.
Long, black coats that reached the shins were worn by the petite models with so much poise. They were two black coats that boasted of sprouted feather, and one that had flecks of gold and seemed to have a velvety finish, another cross breasted suit with eight dull polished golden buttons, a black glossy leather jacket and an elegant black tweed. All the models had their hair up in a tasteful tight bun and donned beautifully mismatched earrings. The makeup was kept light and more of nudes used, so as not to draw the attention away from the black suits.
